That's... really depressing. I've been fairly lucky as my locale is a bit of an accepting one for trans folk so the feminists I associate with here reject transphobic garbage and often defer to me or other trans folk for perspective in situations where privilege is a problem.
In your opinion, based on your experiences, would it be more worth it to attempt to reform feminism to purge the cissexism or would it be more worth it to enact a semi-schism (like the womanist folks did) and just roll with trans specific one?
Because my experiences (as a rather young trans woman) have largely been good with feminists and womanists and while I hope that such is indicative of a paradigm shift in those movements to combat cissexism and ciscentrism (as part of the forward flow of time and progress) it's also just as possible that my location has sheltered me immensely.
