And I don't think it's stupid. I just don't get how it works. I understand that there's a need there, but all the descriptions of the justifications for following that need fall apart here. In the end, if it is just a need that one's well being is tied to, okay. I'm fine with that. Human well being is more important then logic, in the end. That's a "why" that makes sense, instead of the other arguments I've heard in the past.
