Oh don't get me wrong, I don't see anything wrong with that either. I view it as a completely acceptable and even very useful method of simplifying social interactions and making things run smoother.

There is definitely a certain amount of misuse of the terminology by allies too, you're right in that. Thank you for pointing that out because I completely forgot to address it in my post. XD I might do a post on that more specifically, as it seems to come from different angles.
